About the event

Your Postpartum Body

The postpartum time may bring with it a variety of discomforts and physical challenges – from mild to significant.

This 2.5-hour hands-on workshop educates postpartum moms about the basics of 4th trimester anatomy and how the postural/muscular changes their bodies underwent during pregnancy and birth have likely caused a variety of current physical challenges. Participants will learn more about the causes of these challenges and how to work towards alleviating them, including detailed discussion about “full core engagement” and instruction on abdominal and sacral self-massage, breathing techniques and postpartum exercises to facilitate core engagement, and a “return to walking” program.
