If we’re out-of-network with your plan, we’ll be happy to talk with your insurance company and give you an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs. The overall cost of birth at Haven Women's Health and Birth Center is lower than it is at the hospital; so even if we’re out of network with your plan, your out-of-pocket costs could actually be lower than they would be in-network at a hospital-based practice.

Here are some common questions about insurance and cost matters.​

Are classes included as part of the Haven Women's Health and Birth Center fee?

Yes, our classes, such as childbirth education, nutrition class, and breastfeeding basics, are part of our package fee.

What if my out-of-pocket costs are too high for me?

We know that babies are expensive. Being careful with your budget is part of being a good parent, too.

If costs are a concern, we hope you’ll talk with our insurance specialist who will discuss our flexible payment options and work out a payment plan that feels comfortable for you.​​​

Are you in network with medicaid?

At this time, we are not in-network with Medicaid. If you have Medicaid and would like to birth at Haven we recommend our Self Pay rate, we offer two flexible payment plans.

Do you offer payment plans?​

We know planning for your care is a big decision, and we want to make it as easy as possible. That’s why we offer two flexible payment options to fit your needs:

 

Option 1: Payment Plan Through Haven

• Pay for your care over the course of your pregnancy with zero interest.

• We require that you make at least one payment per month, with the flexibility to choose an amount that works best for you.

• We kindly ask that our global fee be paid in full no later than 36 weeks of pregnancy.

 

Option 2: Payment Plan Through CareCredit

• CareCredit works like a health credit card, giving you more control over your payment schedule.

• Choose a plan length that fits your budget—up to 18 months interest-free (subject to approval).

• ​Please note: If payments are missed or the balance isn’t paid off within your chosen timeframe, CareCredit will charge back interest.
