Sara Fawson
Sara is a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Certified Nurse Midwife with 18 years of experience in women’s health care and 8 years of midwifery experience. She graduated with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Utah in 2016.
Sara’s goal is to provide meaningful midwifery care in her community. She hasbeen positively impacted by the care and support she has received from nurse midwives throughout her life. Sara strives to provide the same level of care to the women she cares for. She loves to help women through health and life issues, support their decisions, provide care throughout labor, and cheer them on when they give birth to their babies. She collaborates with other caregivers in her area to enhance birthing environments in hospitals and birthing centers to be supportive of women and their health care choices.
Sara recognizes birth as a natural and normal process and not a medical procedure. She advocates for women by promoting an environment that supports the process of birth and decreases fear and anxiety for childbearing women and their families. She offers care in an environment that is warm, welcoming, and supportive of individual needs and desires. She loves to be a health teacher and uses the most current and relevant research available to provide information to patients.

Casey Hartell
Casey is a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of experience in women's health and 2 years of experience as a midwife. She graduated with her nursing degree from UNC Wilmington and achieved her doctorate from Georgetown University.
Casey is passionate about providing respectful, comprehensive, sex-positive care to women, parents, and families. When not working, Casey can be found in her garden, playing outside with her daughter, or in the gym. But if she had her way, she would be curled up in a patch of sunshine with a good book.

Elisabeth Howard
Elisabeth Howard is a Certified Nurse Midwife with Haven. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University East in Richmond, Indiana, in 2016, and worked in acute rehab and telemetry as an RN. She went on to earn her master’s degree in nurse midwifery from Frontier Nursing University in Versailles, Kentucky, in 2022. Elisabeth practiced as a midwife in a hospital-based practice in Cordele, Georgia, from January 2023 to March 2025.
Elisabeth enjoys providing the full spectrum of midwifery care, including routine wellness care, pregnancy and postpartum care, contraceptive care, and attending family births. She is committed to offering supportive and individualized care for the whole person.
Outside of midwifery, Elisabeth is married and has three beautiful daughters. Her family has a small hobby farm, loves animals, and cherishes spending time outdoors together. Elisabeth also enjoys playing board and card games and reading.

Madeleine McGinigle
Madeleine is Certified Nurse Midwife with over 14 years of experience in Women's Health. She has practiced midwifery in the birth center setting since 2016. Madeleine received her nursing degree at Villanova University and went on to practice as a labor and delivery RN. After working as a nurse and advocating for her laboring moms in the hospital, Madeleine realized her true calling was to provide high quality, client-centered care to women throughout their lifespan and pursued a midwifery degree at New York University.
Madeleine believes that the true beauty of midwifery is the way midwives listen to women and support them in their choices. She is passionate about providing out of hospital birth options to women and loves the relationship based care midwifery offers. She respects birth and how impactful your birth experience can be and strives to make it an empowering and joyful experience for you and your family.
Besides catching babies, Madeleine loves spending time in nature with her husband, daughter and puppy. She puts her sewing machine to use whenever she has time and loves trying out new recipes in the kitchen.

Tracey Perry
Tracey comes to Haven with 28 years of nursing experience, both in and out of hospital. She
started her nursing career as a Navy Nurse, then worked in the Raleigh area as a labor and
mother/baby nurse for most of the last 2 decades. She took her passion for maternal and
newborn nursing back to school and earned her Master’s in Nurse-Midwifery from East Carolina
University. Tracey is passionate about the midwifery model of care, which focuses on the whole
person and family unit, shared decision-making, and supporting women’s autonomy in their
pregnancy and birth care. She is excited to provide holistic, family-friendly care and develop
relationships with Haven clients.
Tracey is a breast cancer survivor and is passionate about early disease detection and
encouraging women to know and care for their bodies. She is always willing to discuss breast
cancer prevention, detection, and treatment with her clients.
Tracey is married to Matt and has 3 teenage children and a menagerie of pets at home. When
she is not working, she enjoys reading and jigsaw puzzles. But she and Matt particularly love
traveling-if they are not working or relaxing at home, you will most likely find them on a cruise
ship exploring some other country!

Aleisa Carlson
Aleisa is a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and a Certified Nurse Midwife with over 20 years of experience. She received her Master of Science in Women’s Health from University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Nurse Midwifery education from University of Colorado.
Aleisa’s integrative approach works to identify and treat underlying causes of health conditions and empowers women through patient education to understand their bodies and to take control of their own health. She supports the body’s natural health and empower patients to collaborate in their care. In this way, care is personalized to each individual patient to optimize her health and well-being.
Aleisa Specializes in women’s health care in all ages and stages of life. She offers annual exams and pap smears as well as treating acute gyn problems such as vaginal infections, UTIs, irregular / heavy cycles, PMS, menopausal treatment, hormonal Imbalances, PCOS, insulin resistance ,thyroid conditions and many other common female concerns.
Aleisa has a special passion for humanitarian and medical missions; she has trained and led teams around the world including to Haiti after its devastating 2010 earthquake, as well as to Ecuador, Mexico, Zimbabwe, Eastern Europe, Ukraine and East Asia. She is married with two college age children. She loves learning new things and enjoys outdoor pursuits with her family including hiking, biking, pickle ball, traveling and visits to the beach.
