Haven Women’s Health & Birth Center located in Cary NC, combines the latest in medical science with a holistic approach to provide comprehensive, evidence-based prenatal and women’s healthcare in a luxurious, homelike environment. We create a welcoming space where women and their families are empowered to make informed choices, connect with skilled midwives, and join our supportive community.
Our Services
PRENATAL CARE
Our prenatal visits are an opportunity for us to get to know each other and connect in a meaningful way. During these visits, we assess both the mother and baby. We offer bloodwork, genetic screening, and ultrasound as part of routine care. Our prenatal visits are an important part of building a strong relationship with our clients, learning their individual birth plan, and providing the best clinical care possible.
LABOR & BIRTH
The constant support of your midwife will help keep you calm as labor unfolds. You’ll have a choice of methods to soothe pain: deep soaking tubs for labor and water birth, nitrous oxide, TENS units, birth balls and stools, Pilates bars, extra-large showers, essential oils, massage, and the freedom to move as you wish. Your birth. Your terms. We really do mean it.
POSTPARTUM CARE
There’s a lot to celebrate, but we know a little baby brings big changes, too. That’s why we continue to support your whole family after birth. Follow-up care is provided through six weeks postpartum, including breastfeeding support and postpartum recovery assistance. Plus, you’ll have access to our new mom support group.
WELL-WOMAN CARE
We’re trained to provide primary-care services for women so we can take care of your annual exams, pap smears and birth control. And with our deep knowledge of reproduction and pregnancy, we’re ready to help you with fertility information and decisions about genetic testing for you and your partner. We also offer hormone balancing appointments to support your overall well-being.

A queen-size bed to help you find comfortable positions during labor, and so the whole family can cuddle up once baby arrives.

Music and lighting: Connect to our Bluetooth speakers and control the lighting in your room to create a soothing environment that works for you.

Extra-large shower can be used for aqua therapy during labor.

Safety equipment: It is there, but it’s not the focal point of the room; it includes medications, oxygen, IVs, and emergency supplies if needed.

Room to move: Eat what you want, wear what you want, and bring who you want.

Pain management options: Nitrous oxide, TENS unit, birthing balls, aromatherapy, and many more options to help you feel comfortable during labor.

Hydrotherapy / Birth Tub: A deep soaking tub that eases pain and relaxes tension.

ABOUT HAVEN
Haven was founded in 2024 by women for women. Our owner, Sara Fawson, has worked in women's health and birth care in the Triangle, NC area since 2018 and wanted to create a space where women receive the care and education that allows them to make good decisions about their bodies and their health. Our model of care is accomplished by taking the time for our patients to listen, assess their needs and educate them on options. We offer a full range of women's health services and a well equipped birth center in close proximity to WakeMed Cary where women are able to deliver their babies in a warm and comfortable environment with competent healthcare providers who follow the midwifery model of care.
